Biography : 

Shozab Raza is a historical anthropologist. His research interests include critical political economy, decolonization, and revolutionary thought and practice, with a focus on South Asia. His current book project, Theory from the Trenches, tells the story of peasants in Pakistan who became revolutionary actors and theorists, struggling not just to remake the country but joining others across continents to remake the world. Shozab’s research has been published in several journals, including Cultural Anthropology and Comparative Studies in Society and History, while his public writing has appeared in venues like The Guardian and Boston Review. He is also a founding editor of Jamhoor, a left magazine on South Asia and its diasporas.
