Experiential Learning

The Experiential Learning aspect of the STEP Forward program is designed for students that are already involved in experiential learning courses, independent research, or a work-study. There will be 3 sets of workshops:

1) Fall Workshop (Date: January 20, 2017)
2) Winter Workshop (Date: February 3, 2017)
3) Spring Workshop (Date: March 24, 2017)

Each workshop will highlight student research conducted the previous semester. This is a great opportunity for involved students to showcase their hard work and form a community with fellow peers and faculty.

As an anthropologist in the making, it is very important that you gain a complete understanding of the field. This includes not only a theoretical background, but a hands-on experience as well. That’s what the experiential learning component of STEP Forward will provide you. There are many opportunities on-campus that will allow you to get a taste of fieldwork and research while still in undergrad.
