STEP Forward Program

STEP Forward: Anthropology is a new program that is designed especially for students who chose to pursue a degree in Anthropology-YOU! This program will help you better integrate yourself into the Anthropology community on campus by letting you know what we have to offer and ensuring you have access to all resources. By participating in this initiative, you will be able to gain a better understanding of the field and how it can benefit you in achieving your future academic and professional goals.

Students involved in STEP Forward: Anthropology can attend Re-orientation Tutorials and Experiential Workshops, as well as participate in a peer mentorship program where students pursuing a specialist degree in Anthropology will be mentored by upper-year Anthropology students.

Just think of STEP Forward as a supplementary aid in the process of you, ultimately, becoming a full-fledged ANTHROPOLOGIST!

There are 3 main components to this program:
1) Re-Orientation Tutorials
2) Experiential Workshops
3) Mentoring Program

There will also be a social event (Date: TBA) that will take place in February, which will introduce participating students to fellow peers and faculty in the Anthropology Department.

Your experience with the STEP Forward Anthropology Program will, also, be catered to which sub-discipline you have chosen to pursue, whether it be in archaeology, evolutionary, or society, culture and language anthropology. A description of each Anthropology degree and their associated courses can be found here.
