Research

Dr. Parga is currently involved in a long-term study of ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) reproductive strategies on St. Catherines Island, Georgia, USA. She has been studying the social and sexual behaviour of this species at this site since 2000.  Dr. Parga was recently awarded a Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) grant to establish a Molecular Anthropology and Primatology Laboratory for the Study of Evolution (MAPLE) at the UTSC campus.
